A Dancer’s Success Coach: Overcome Any Internal Block To Dance
The Most Gifted Dancers Often Have ONE Thing Keeping Them From Success
Can’t get that front walkover in Acro?
Always get overly frustrated when getting corrections from a teacher and feel yourself shutting down?
Feel like you lag behind other dancers and wish you were a standout in dance class?
Christine Rich, a seasoned dance professional and choreographer with a dance career in NY, LA and Chicago is also a certified coach trained to handle these internal obstacles inside of dancers.
That combination (dancer plus coach) gives dancers of all ages and levels a unique opportunity to reach their dreams when it comes to dance.
An obstacle on the inside will manifest on the outside.
Whether the dancer can’t get a certain “trick”, step, or hears that they need to have more engaging performance face, or even remember choreography better…if it happens often, that is the sign it is an internal barrier.
Can you do a clean double pirouette en pointe, but not a triple—ever? That’s a block.
Struggle to get your back handspring even though you’ve had enough training? That’s a block on the inside.
Think you’re a ballet-only “bun head” dancer with no chance at being a contemporary dancer? That is most definitely a block.
Christine wants you to put your dreams in dance into reality.
Many teachers do not have the training nor understanding of how to get to the bottom of these blocks.
Wish your leaps were high with straight legs? You’ve tried and tried and even tears won’t help?
Always seem to develop an ailment or “injury” just when you’re making progress or you have a big performance or audition?
Can’t get your aerial cartwheel?
Feel embarrassed to let go and perform onstage?

For 4 years Miralle, age 9 struggled to do a basic acrobatic trick—a front limber. In a one hour session with Christine the block was discovered, and once lifted, Miralle did the front limber as well as a back Arabian and back walkover immediately.
Once the block is discovered, the flow to progress is rapid.
Upon a visit to a successful dance studio in a metropolitan area, Christine watched as a beautiful advanced ballet student, age 18, sat down within 6 minutes of her jazz class and appeared very down on herself.
Christine inquired with staff as to why the girl was allowed to do that and the response was, “Oh, Sheila gives up on herself thinking she can’t do contemporary dance and the jazz teacher gets tired of arguing with her so she lets her sit out.”
After booking a coaching session with Christine, the block was discovered, fixed and Christine choreographed a winning contemporary dance routine for her that the girl performed in an International Ballet Competition which she won– shocking her dance school.
A teen girl kept getting the same injury every time she did a back handspring. She would do it, and then immediately proclaim an injury. She’d heal from the injury, do the trick again, and go right back into the injury all over again.
After a one hour session with Christine, the girl’s issue was fixed because the block had been discovered and the dance student was able to not only do the back handspring, but also as a round-off back handspring in the same session.
More on Sergio here.
A male ballet student, age 18, left a prestigious ballet school and came to Christine with frustration that his teachers complained about his lack of masculine leadership when dancing onstage.
Without that, there was no point of auditioning for ballet companies.
Christine created a contemporary/lyrical master performance solo for the ballet boy and unblocked his resistance to being all that he could be in a dance performance on the big stages.
The solo dance was entered into a large dance festival.
The male dancer so stunned and captivated the audience that they gave his dance performance a standing ovation. One of his former ballet teachers was in the audience and could not believe it was possible to witness such a dramatic change as he just saw in his former student.
The male dancer’s performance was nominated in two various theater award categories for best male performance in dance and Christine received a theater choreography award.
Here’s Christine’s dance bio.
If you or your dancer are stuck and wanting to discover how to be the best dancer you know somewhere inside wants to “be let out” let’s talk on the phone and discover if working together would be beneficial.
